Tech Tip: Duck Duck Go

In today's Tech Tip I will be showing you the use of the internet browsing tool "Duck Duck Go." Duck Duck Go is an internet search engine that doesn't track where you search. What this means is that Duck Duck Go doesn't keep track of any demographic information like age, location, or specific market. Some people prefer this kind of service because they feel free from the eyes of advertisers or the government.

I personally don't mind if Google or other search engines like Google use my demographic information to sell to advertisers, or even to use for government tracking. I just think that 50 years ago advertizers had almost no way to target their advertisements towards a specific audience and now they can do that in greater ways than ever. I think thats pretty cool, which is why I will continue to use google instead of Duck Duck Go.

    Hello Ryan!
    I love a good tech tip and this one seemed interesting. Is this used so I do not get those creepy ads tailored exactly to what I just searched? Does this also mean my computer does not collect any cookies? I am only like half way computer savvy. Thanks for the summary of what Duck Duck Go is because otherwise I would have had no idea!

Week 7 Story "The Boiled Bat"

Bush Rat One day the Bat and the Bush Rat were eating together in a field. They both made soup at their homes and brought it to eat with each other. The Rat asked if he could try the Bats soup and he did. The Rat exclaimed, "Wow! this soup is so good, it tastes so sweet and savory." The Rat asked the bat how in the world he made his soup so good. Week 4 Story "The Healing Parable"

Hole in Roof Authors Note: This is a retelling of the  Followers of Jesus  Story from the perspective of an onlooker. I didn't know much about this Jesus Guy everyone was so crazy about. I am just a regular Shepard. I tend to my flock, come into town to get a meal, maybe buy some garb, nothing exciting. But today was a different day from the moment I left my home. I could see the commotion in town from far away, crowds were gathered all around. I couldn't make the connection to what they were so concerned about until I got closer.
